How to Obtain an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD)?

Eligible graduating students may obtain an Ontario high school diploma through NPU.
Academic Requirements
  • Academic transcript approval
  • Meet the Ontario Compulsory Credits standard

Minimum Graduation Requirements

  • Six pre-university, grade 12 courses and the successful completion of the Ontario Secondary School Literacy Course (OSSLC) or requirements.
Community Service
  • Up to 40 hours of community service (pro-rated per grade level)

All exams require qualified proctor supervision with these convenient options:

On-Site Students

  • Exams must be written at school facilities

Off-Site Students

  • Video proctoring service ($98 fee)
  • NPU locations
  • By an NPU approved proctor. Application fees apply.

Quebec Students

Is Grade 12 an alternative to CEGEP for Quebec Students?

Grade 12 pre-university programs offer a different pathway for Quebec students. Grade 12 students who are admitted into university will have an additional 30 credits to complete towards the undergraduate degree compared to a CEGEP student.
